Lightning Strikes Twice

What a predicament to be in! One minute you were cleaning up the rubbish in outer space, and the next you find yourself caught in a space-time storm and end up trapped in a "medievil" castle. Your assistant droids are understandably irate and blame you for their demise. The obvious thing to do is escape and teleport home, but where are the keys to the doors and how do you lower the drawbridge? These are just some of the many problems you will have to overcome to gain your freedom.

Feeling completely out of place in ancient surroundings whilst wearing a space suit, you walk and jump about the screens exploring and finding useful objects. On your travels you will meet various characters who will help you to escape if given a suitable bribe. Being SPRECO (SPace REfuse COllector) you are used to picking up things (keys, bucket, candle, etc) and by using or swapping them solve the problems such as opening doors. The puzzles have logical solutions and, with a bit of thought, any problem can be overcome. To complete the adventure one hundred percent you have to use all the objects in some way and finally escape.

Playing the game is simple with comfortable controls and fast and easy movement. Although nimble fingers are needed on occasion, the key to success is a logical mind.

Thunderstruck 2

Graphically, the game is quite amazing with one hundred screens and atmospheric animated scenery such as flickering candles, torches, suits of armour, etc. There are lots of different rooms to explore with many different types of baddies flying around which range from ghosts to mad droids. SPRECO is realistically animated, as are most other moving objects.

The sound effects are used effectively without being grating and there is a little tune played on completion of the game. You only have one life but you can stand up to a fair amount of harassment by the inhabitants and there is some food to replenish your energy if you can find it!

The game is of a very high standard, is instantly addictive and will keep any adventurer imprisoned for quite some while. If you like arcade adventures then buy this game!
