Fight For Your Knights

Delos D. Harriman's latest is a version of the arcade game Joust. Unfortunately, it doesn't come up to the standard of the original - but it is still very playable.

In one player mode you take on all the enemy knights alone whilst in two player mode the idea is the same but with both of the players fighting the knights. The two player mode has gladiator waves in which the players have to try to kill each other to obtain bonus points.

At the start of each wave you and the knights materialise from one of the six energiser pads on various levels. Points are scored by killing the enemy knights and also collecting the eggs which fall from the knights' ostriches when the knights are killed. If the eggs are left too long they will hatch into another knight.

Action is a bit lacking but the graphics for the characters although small move fairly smoothly. Sound is very disappointing; there are only a few sounds for various happenings in the game. All in all, I was disappointed as Herr Harriman's previous games have, in my view, been superb.
