It's chess as Disney would've done it. Brilliantly animated pieces in hilarious battles.

Terry's Big Adventure (Shades) (Commodore 64/128)

Presentation is only okay, but the familiar platforms-and-ladders gameplay is compulsive, making this very good value for money.

Top Gun (The Hit Squad) (Commodore 64/128)

Defeat three enemy planes (one after the other) to progress onto the next level... It's fun for a while, but lastability is low.

Spitfire (Encore) (Commodore 64/128)

Certainly not a flight sim, this is a shoot-'em-up where overlarge sprites seriously impair playability.

In two player mode, it's enjoyable enough, but on your own it can soon becoming boring.

If you have a lot of spare time, Star Command offers the sort of challenge most arcade games couldn't dream of matching. But you must use your imagination a heckuva lot to get over the poor presentation.

Scapeghost (Level 9) (Commodore 64/128)

A classic not to be missed... A novel plot, wonderfully devious but logical puzzles... and a superbly humorous atmosphere.

The gameplay in this so-called Spy Hunter upgrade is so monotonous, it's no wonder the coin-op never left Japan!

The Games: Summer Edition (Epyx) (Amiga 500)

This sports game was mediocre on the C64. Sadly, it's little improved on the Amiga.

North And South (Infogrames) (Amiga 500)

A gem of a game! The sheer variety of gameplay, the many excellent details... it all adds up to an utterly irresistible package.

Kick Off (Anco) (Commodore 64/128)

The only similarities between this and Amiga Kick Off are the play options and the name! Otherwise it's a completely different game and an inferior one at that.

Sporting Triangles (CDS) (Commodore 64/128)

The same questions pop up time after time, and they take hours to load in for every game. On top of this, the game only emulates the TV show in one way - it's extremely boring!

Cabal (Ocean) (Commodore 64/128)

A more playable game than Operation Wolf and gives Operation Thunderbolt a pretty tough run for its money as well.

Stunt Car Racer (Microstyle) (Amiga 500)

A highly original and very playable race game.

Amazing graphics draw you in, but tough gameplay and lengthy disk accessing put you off.
