American 3D Pool (Zeppelin Games)

Fast, fun and funky. On the strength of the pool part alone, I'd urge you to wander out and buy it.

Biff (Beyond Belief)

A cute, Dizzy-style collect-'em-up puzzler... Buy it!

Bismarck (Alternative)

The gameplay is nothing special and it's highly likely that you've seen it all before.

Golden Axe (Tronix)

Forget about the name; this is twice as cheap 'n' nasty as the dullest original budget game - give it the widest berth you can muster.

Italia '90: World Cup Soccer (Tronix)

It's about as much like a World Cup - or football at all, for that matter - as Dannii Minogue is like a steam-powered ocean liner.

Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road (Tronix)

The best Super Sprint-type game ever seen on the Speccy, and you'd have to be several candy shrimps short of a pic'n'mix not to rush out and buy it at once.

The Jetsons (Hi-Tec)

A disappointing cartoon collect-'em-up/racer severely lacking in the playability department.

Murray Mouse Supercop (Codemasters)

Bland and not-terribly-funny-at-all-matey game. I'm sorry Codies, but you're going to have to do better than this.

The Neverending Story II (Linel)

If you're into the whole NES phenomena you could conceivably have a jolly time, but for those of us after a thundering good game I'm afraid that it's time to look elsewhere.

Ninja Collection (Ocean)

You get two average and one non-eventful game for your money. Frankly, I'd say it's a bit of a disappointment really.

Potsworth & Co. (Hi-Tec Premier)

A sure-fire winner. Hi-Tec have done the licence proud, producing a fiercely playable biggie. It'll take ages to complete, and even after you've done so there are plenty of nooks and crannies to go back and explore.

Q10 Tankbuster (Zeppelin Games)

Instant playability, zilch in the way of lasting appeal. One of those load it-play it-bin it games.

Shadow Of The Beast (GBH)

Yawnsome through and through.

Soccer Pinball (Codemasters)

Colourful but ultimately unsatisfying pinball-'em-up.

Stryker In the Crypts of Trogan (Codemasters)

A decent game, spoiled by a preposterous fault. Perseverance may pay off, but don't bet on it.

Viz: The Computer Game (Tronix)

The games packaging says that "you'll never play a bigger load of crap", and in the face of the evidence, I have to say that it's absolutely right.
