"The Trouble With Trolls" - or at least so my old Mum used to keep telling me - was that they simply never knew when to give up. If they found themselves faced with a plateful of best, prime quality "deviled orc's eyes" then they would just sit there and eat them all until they were sick. Or else they would do battle with their strongest enemies until neither of them were capable of swinging another blow. Worse still, they held on to their gold with a grip that few could break and had even been known to lay down their very life to protect it or to take yours in the process!!!
As for getting them to part with treasure such as diamonds and pearls that was almost a task beyond the talents of even the most ardent of the adventurers that chose to undertake it.
So it was that such a task needed to be carried out and so it was that Brian WOODLOUSE was the poor unfortunate sod that had to do it.
Dear old Grandad had shuffled off his mortal coil and with his "passing" came the necessary task of arranging and paying for his funeral. Typical of the wizened old man was that he chose not to bother with the likes of such things as banks or "insurance policies" so there was no ready cash to cover the costs.
However, the old man had left one item of value behind him - namely a small chest - and it was this that attracted Brian's attention. It may have been small but it was also surprisingly heavy for its size.
What Brian was to find inside it was to lead him to one of the greatest adventures of his life ...
This game will recognise all the usual commands such as EXAMINE, OPEN, UNLOCK, SEARCH etc, as well as allowing you to LOOK THROUGH things and also LOOK UNDER things ... These can both be very useful when used in the right places. Use the commands RAMSAVE and RAMLOAD to store and recall a game "position" using memory, but always resort to the standard SAVE and LOAD in order to make a more permanent record of your progress to cassette or floppy disk.
It is sometimes amazing what you can find hidden down a sofa and there is often more than just coal to be found inside a coal-scuttle ... Also make sure that your gun has all its "accessories" fitted if you want it to be as effective as possible. You have been warned!!!
