Pretty addictive... The only real problem is that, occasionally, it doesn't seem as responsive as it should be. Read Review
Has a nice feel to it; nice sound effects and a bouncy tune on the title page. Read Review
A thousand years have passed since the last war, when Traxtor saved us. With the legend now long gone, this is a story of its legacy... Use your spaceship's tractor beam to repel the invaders in this highly addictive match-3 game that will push your refexes and fast-thinking to the limit.
The rules are simple: match three or more blocks to destroy them before they reach to your defence line. There are 25 levels in the game.
Use the tractor beam to move blocks into the bay, and fire to throw back the top-most block to the board. Your spaceship can store up to three blocks.
Some blocks are special: wildcard blocks can be thrown to any block type and they will turn into that type.
These are some tips that will help you to complete the game:
Spectrum: O - Left, P - Right, A - Tractor beam, Q - Fire Amstrad: Cursor Left - Left, Cursor Right - Right, Cursor Down - Tractor beam, SPACE - Fire, H - Toggle Pause
These keys can be redefined.
On the Amstrad, press ESCAPE to end the game. Joysticks are supported, including models with two fire buttons (fire 1 to fire and fire 2 or space to beam) and GX4000 gamepads.
The game allows to change some parameters in the Game Options sub-menu. These include selecting between normal and easy modes, disabling the background music or using an alternative tile-set (for green or monochrome monitors or players with problems seeing the colours). It is possible also to listen all the game songs using the jukebox.
Side A on the tape is for the ZX Spectrum.
Side B on the tape is for the Amstrad CPC.
