The Outer Worlds is an absolute steal. A viable alternative to the Fallout series.

A game that could have used another year or two in development to really flesh out its world, plot and gameplay - but its parts generally work so well together that these issues can be easily overlooked. One of the best Western RPGs that we've had in a while.

The story is the main attraction here, with Obsidian's witty writing coming to the fore in an interesting and funny interstellar setting. If that's what you look for in your RPGs, The Outer Worlds will not disappoint.

This shines through its sci-fi and its writing. It's a chance to drop into a world and be that scoundrel, that bloodthirsty pirate, that dashing, heroic space captain. And it's an adventure with a bunch of characters that are simply fun to be around.
