Initially the program will ask both players to enter their names. Following this, a menu will be displayed from which you can select wind velocity and terrain options for a series of games. As a general rule, wind velocities below 50mph will give a relatively easy game, whilst at over 100mph the game wil be more challenging. At 150mph it will be virtually impossible!
This menu can be reselected at any stage during the game by pressing ESCAPE.
At the beginning of each game, the computer will randomly choose who goes first. You can manoeuvre your task by using the cursor left and right keys. The up and down keys control the inclination of the barrel. The inclination is shown in degrees at the bottom of the screen.
When your tank is correctly positioned and the inclination selected, press RETURN. The computer will now ask you for the velocity of the shell you are about to fire. The velocity is also shown at the bottom of the screen, and can be increased or decreased by using the up and down cursor keys. When you have selected your shell's velocity, press RETURN to fire the shell.
Remember to make allowances for the wind velocity shown at the top of the screen!
Each game is won by scoring a direct hit on your opponent.
