Swordmaster takes you, and your opponent, back in time - to the 12th century. Grand Master Herman von Salza has established the Holy Deutscritter Order of Teutonic knights, based in Alsace and Burgandy. They live by the sword, and a strict code of honour governing combat.
The rules are strict, as these examples show. Knights of the order have to:
When you play Swordmaster, you control a knight on the screen by moving him around a valley, and raising or lowering his sword. Each knight has a safe position on his side of the valley.
Another knight, on a hill overlooking the valley, shows how well you are doing - the higher his sword, the more strength you have left. Every hit lowers your resistance until the sword hits the final post...
