At the start of the game, a title screen is displayed followed by a screen asking the player to input three initials. Once the initials have been typed, the game begins automatically.
At the start of the game the screen contains a grid and eight hostile Arrows. The object of the game is to destroy all of the Arrows using the lazer which appears in the lower right hand corner of the grid.
You gain points for each Arrow you destroy but each time you fire, you will lose power. The power remaining is indicated by the chequered stripe in the lower right hand corner. Once you have run out of power, you will no longer be able to fire the lazer. When the power level reaches a critically low level the lazer weapon will turn red.
At intervals during the game a square in the grid will flash and a Master Arrow will appear. This will deposit eggs on the grid. Crashing into one of these eggs will destroy the lazer. However, the eggs can be destroyed with the lazer although no points are scored. When only two Arrows are remaining, any that are destroyed will be replaced by an Arrow from one of the eggs on the grid. The screen is completed when the last two Arrows are destroyed while there are no eggs on the screen.
The Master Arrows can be destroyed and bonus points are gained for this. The value of the bonus will appear in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when the Arrow is hit.
A time bonus is indicated in the lower right hand corner of the screen and this is reduced at regular intervals.
From time to time an oval pool will appear. Running over this will restore your power and will increase the time bonus.
Whenever a screen is completed, a "Round" bonus is awarded and the time bonus is added to the score. The player is then presented with a new screen.
The lazer is controlled using the right joystick. The lazer weapon is fired using the joystick Fire button.
You begin the game with five lazers and the game finishes when all five have been destroyed. Remaining weapons are displayed on the left hand side of the screen.
At the end of the game the top five scores are displayed. Pressing the Fire button at this point will start a new game. Pressing ENTER will allow a new player to enter his initials.
