An excellent combat romp, marred slightly by over-complex graphics and tricky fire controls.
Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O' Fun (Mindscape)
All the fun of the fair and a lot of laughs. A feast of fun!
Nice break from humorless death and destruction. A bit low on the thrill front.
A nice idea, marred by some lousy execution. There are plenty of better beat-'em-ups than this.
American Turbo King (Virgin Mastertronic)
Not a winner by any standards you could possibly support.
Castle Master (Domark/Incentive)
The game has depth, action sequences and is littered with puzzles and should be enough to hardened adventurers going for some time.
I'm sure there's a good game in here somewhere... Perhaps it's tucked away in a dark corner of the box. But it just won't come out to play.
3D Pinball (Mastertronic Plus)
Good cheapy pinball action. There are better, but not for the price.
Fighting F16 Falcon (Mastertronic)
If you're bonkers about flying then maybe you could just about justify the three quid. Other than that, you'd be bonkers to buy this.
You have different controls in different sections, but basically each routine is a matter of learning to make the correct joystick movements in the right order. It's more like being a laboratory rat than playing a game.
