Rather a weak game which doesn't really compare with the state-of-the-art software for the Spectrum and is of limited novelty. Read Review
For a zany challenge, with bright colourful graphics, Sam Stoat fits the bill nicely. Read Review

4 lives, 4 houses: 20 screens in each
As all is quiet and everyone's asleep, Sam sets out to exercise his stealth and cunning - robbing the rich of their valuable jewels - one greedy Sam Stoat. A master craftsman, nothing bars his way, no safe can resist his explosive talents. That is until he enters Gremlin Lane where the houses are protected by watchdogs of a kind Sam has never encountered before.
An army of gnomes, vicious and nasty, lovable and drunk, a policeman with his cast of bouncing bed springs and runaway pool balls and the terrorising hunger of the blood-thirsty bats and fat black spiders. Sam is pleased for the calming effect of Stoat Healing Elixir as he battles his way forward in search of the diamond on which a nerve-shattered Stoat can end his days.
Position Sam under selected house and enter by pressing jump key or fire button. House 1 - easy, house 4 - hard.
Locate the explosive bomb and match (only one can be carried at a time) and blow the safe; collect the diamond and any other jewellery in the house and move on. Sam can only leave if the diamond has been collected. The bottle of "Sam Stoat Healing Elixir" in each house replenishes your blood level helping you to last out the 20 rooms to be searched and entered through the mousehole access.
Q - Left, W - Right, P - Up, L - Down, B-SPACE - Jump
Alternatively, use a Kempston or Sinclair Interface 2 joystick.
