Although Resolution 101 is aimed at the action enthusiast, it defies any standard game category - and that's part of the secret of its success. It's utterly original in appearance, scenario and gameplay.
Drop Klax into your disk drive, switch on your ST and launch yourself into one of the most challenging and addictive games released this year.
Theme Park Mystery (Image Works)
A combination of arcade and adventure, but in a way that isn't disjointed... A very coherent and unusual challenge.
With 237 star systems, over 800 planets... and more aliens than you can shake a laser beam at, you'll be examining just one more star system, exploring just one more planet and wiping out just one more alien race late into the night.
All the ingredients necessary to make it a sure-fire hit. In screenshots, it looks like Ghouls 'N Ghosts but it's much more electrifying than Ghouls ever was.
Frontline (Cases Computer Simulations)
Suffering from formal schizophrenia and content with mediocrity, it's of minor interest to wargame buffs only.
The closest pinball simulator yet available (it's so close you can almost smell the burning of the electro-mechanical innards).
If you liked Starglider 2 and Elite, but have begun to find them too limiting, then you'll love Warhead's diverse missions. It's good to see a game at last worthy enough to take over their crown.
If you can tolerate the jerky screen movement and can afford to turn your full-time job into a part-time one, go for it. Otherwise, give the aliens a miss this time.
This manual may make your ST more interesting, it may give you some idea how the ST works and the kind of tricks you need to maximise its potential, but it's not a hands-on user's guide.
A Dark Sky Over Paradise (Interactive Technology)
You need a good imagination for this. And there are only two pictures in the whole game, so even the most easily pleased adventures will regret the lack of graphics. In this day and age, it's hardly going to win awards.
