Black Tiger will appeal to fans of the arcade game and anyone who enjoys a decent Strider-type action game.

The programmers have lost all of the original appeal of the film. What you're left with is a series of four ordinary games brought under the protective umbrella of a well-known title.

Rings Of Medusa (Starbyte)

For the first few hours, Medusa is breathlessly entertaining. But it doesn't have Iron Lord's variety of graphics and sound, it soon loses its appeal.

This is a complex game, and it takes a while to get to grips with. It's well worth the effort though... and we may well be seeing the birth of a new market for programmers with ideas.

Dr. Doom's Revenge (Empire)

This is boring, dated and deadeningly dull. Apparently the 8-bit versions are much more playable - so if you insist on buying this, get one of those instead and dust down your old micro.

Austerlitz (PSS)

The reality factor is this game's ace card. The reality of war made hits of Waterloo and Borodino and it's certain to also endear wargame addicts to this latest release.

Wild Streets (Titus)

A beat-'em-up with smooth graphics, large sprites and a very sexy black panther. If you like beat-'em-ups, there's no reason why you shouldn't fall head over heels for this one.

Aquanaut (Addictive Games)

An unspectacular, frustrating game... Unless you're a sub-aqua freak, or a violently suppressed marine biologist you'll find Aquanaut a thoroughly damp squid.

Kick Off Extra Time (Anco)

If you've got an ST, you've just gotta have Kick Off, but you don't need to face the tiresome prospect of Extra Time.
