Robot 1 In The Planet Of Death

Robot 1 managed to escape the ship of doom just as it plunged into the heart of a giant sun. But, sadly, his problems are just beginning!

He calculated the teleport trajectory carefully to beam himself onto the escape pod of his former masters but things did not go according to plan.

The onboard systems on the ship were overheating and scrambled the teleport signal, sending him far away to an unknown world.

Finding himself alone and without a means to return to his human masters, he must discover a way to send a distress signal.

To do this he is going to have to scour the planet's surface and beyond for supplies. He will also have to interact with the local residents if he wants to ever escape the Planet of Death...

Instructions

You will control Robot 1 as he makes his way around the hostile alien world, looking for clues and a means to contact his former masters so that they may, hopefully, come to retrieve him.

They abandoned him once already on the Ship of Doom but he has now discovered a new, uncharted planet that seems to be suitable for human life. this, beyond his own value, will be the prize that should draw his former crewmates to the distress signal - if he can send it.

You can carry three items at once from those scattered across the planet and must use these to help in your quest to secure rescue. To use an item in a particular area, you need simply drop it in the appropriate space. Successful use of an item will result in a message being displayed and, potentially, a change in the environment or another reacction. If you cannot use the item in that area, no message will be displayed.

You can also talk to some of the planet's denizens but be careful, there are many who would like nothing more than to disassemble you. Be wary regarding whom you choose to interact with and always keep an eye on your power bar. Once this is depleted, you will lose a valuable life.

Robot 1 has built-in nanobots that can rebuild him a maximum of three times but, should you go beyond this point, he wll be taking a quick journey into the heaven of zeroes and ones.

Good luck in your mission. With luck you can solve the mystery and escape without becoming another wayward traveller claimed by the Planet of Death!

Game Controls

Z - Left, X - Right, P - Jump, O - Collect Item/Cycle Inventory, K - Interact/Talk

1 - Toggle Pause, 2 - Toggle Music

If you believe you can use one of your carried items in a certain area, move over the marked space and press the O key to cycle to that item. If it can be used, it will be removed from your inventory. If not, you will have to look elsewhere for something else to solve the problem.
