The peak of Eeben's games and quite possibly the best all-round package available on the unexpanded Vic-20.

Greenrunner (Psytronik) (Commodore 64/128)

A mind-blowing experience... The gameplay shines through, the action is relentless... and even more so when played with two players.

Grid Assault (Wiebo de Wit) (PC (Windows))

The definitive Geometry Wars clone currently available for the PC.

Head-On (Raster/Radek Sterba) (Atari XE/XL)

A decent release, but it's disappointing that Radek failed to either improve the basic in-game graphics... or add any new elements to the overly-simple game mechanics.

Logic3 Games Power 50 (Logic3) (European Machines)

The games are buggy and amateurish, and I can't help but be reminded of the dreadful Cascade Cassette-50 compilation.

Lunar Blitz (Cosine Systems) (Commodore Vic 20)

Blitz has always been the simplest of games - hell you only have one button to press! This version is fun for a while.

Nova (RGCD) (PC (Windows))

There is nothing ground breaking here, but the game is well coded and retains the addictive one-more-go nature of the Atari PD classic.

Nuclear Waste Dump (Paradize Games) (Atari ST)

One of Paradize's strongest releases so far.

Pocket UFO (SMK Software) (Pocket PC)

Essentially a flawed masterpiece... Quite buggy, though playable and showing a lot of promise for the future.

Poker Square (Paradize Games) (Atari ST)

Although my first impressions were relatively negative, I have to say that when I took the time to learn how to play the game properly I did enjoy playing it.

Qwak (Jamie Woodhouse) (Game Boy Advance)

It sounds incredibly simple, but due to devious level designs and the frantic pace at which the game plays, Qwak is actually one of the finest homages to classic arcade gaming.

Scorpions 2.0 (XXL) (Atari XE/XL)

Due to its frustrating and logical nature, it won't be everyone's cup of tea - but if you enjoy forward-thinking puzzle games then I strongly recommend you give it a go.

Thrust Xtreme (Wiebo de Wit) (PC (Windows))

The game may not feature a huge number of new game-play elements... but it's still a must-have for any gamer.

Znax (Paradize Games) (Atari XE/XL)

Not a game that will keep you entertained for hours, but it makes a welcome and short-lived distraction from work.

Zoo Mania (Fanta) (Commodore 64)

Nothing ground breaking here, but Zoo Mania is still a more than worthy addition to your C64 collection.
