You get everything you ever loved about the Repton series, and more, plus the ability to design games in a completely new format, to be enjoyed by a new generation of puzzlers. Read Review
The original Repton game was immediately acclaimed as a refreshingly new concept: a game requiring dexterity to complete the arcade-style elements and clear logical thinking to solve the strategic puzzles. Repton involved retrieving treasure from cleverly constructed traps of falling rocks whilst avoiding fearsome monsters. Repton 2 was larger and far more challenging, introducing transporters, skulls and haunting spirits. Repton 3 introduced a character editor and screen designer for the first time along with ticking time-bombs, golden crowns and insidiously growing fungus.
At long last, Retro Software proudly presents the missing masterpiece that was originally written as a direct, traditional sequel to Repton 3 - Repton: The Lost Realms. Completely rewritten and improved, the game features 24 new screens that will delight and confuse both beginners and hardened Repton addicts alike. They include deceptively pretty balloons that float upwards, multiple time-bombs on each level, doors which bar your way until they are dissolved with the mysterious "absorbalene" and, most perplexing of all, two kinds of spirits: clockwise and anti-clockwise! Perhaps it's just as well Repton can now freeze pursuing monsters with an ice crystal!
The game boasts larger levels than Repton 3 that can contain more transporters and monsters. It also includes a very flexible level editor and character editor. You decide how fast the fungus should grow, how long monsters should stay frozen, or whether a map is available on a level. Can you conquer Repton's Lost Realms?
The following utilities are also available to allow you to edit the supplied screens of this game:
