Introduction
The object of Rail Runner is to move Bill Switchman down through the maze of Trains and Handcars to collect each of five Herman Hobos. Bill will find the five Hermans at the bottom of the screen. If Bill is hit by a Train, one Bill will be lost. If Bill is hit by a Handcar, different actions will occur depending on the level.
Level 1
Only being hit by a Train will result in the loss of a Bill. If hit by a Handcar he will return to his starting position.
When Bill reaches a Herman, Herman will be automatically saved and Bill will return to his starting position.
Level 2
Only being hit by a Train will result in the loss of a Bill. If hit by a Handcar he will return to his starting position.
When Bill reaches a Herman, Herman will be collected and Bill must then move him back through to maze to the starting position.
If Bill is hit by a Handcar on the return journey, Herman will be returned to the bottom of the screen and Bill will be returned to his starting position.
If Bill is hit by a Train on the return journey, Herman will be returned to the bottom of the screen and one Bill will be lost.
Level 3
Being hit by a Train or a Handcar will result in the loss of a Bill.
When Bill reaches a Herman, Herman will be collected and Bill must then move him back through to maze to the starting position.
If Bill is hit by a a Train or a Handcar on the return journey, Herman will be returned to the bottom of the screen and one Bill will be lost.
You have three Bills. The loss of the last remaining Bill ends the game.

Arrow Keys - Move
Rail Runner begins in a demonstration mode. Press ENTER to start the game.
To select a level, move Bill up and down up using the up and down arrow keys. Press ENTER to select a level.

Loading
- Switch off the Dragon
- Load the cartridge into the cartridge port on the left-hand side of the computer
