This item contains versions of Privateer for Spectrum 48K and Sinclair ZX81.
You are the captain of a battleship at the time of Nelson. You have been ordered to proceed with all speed to the Baltic.
In the past 3 months, several of His Majesty's cargo ships have been waylaid and looted by French Privateers. These cargo ships were carrying essential munitions to the troops in the Baltic area and your mission is to find and destroy the said privateers as soon as possible.
This is in three stages:
In phase 1 you have an escape route to by pass the shore battery. If, however, you elect to follow this route then your final score of Privateers you have sunk will be reduced by 1. In phase 3 the Privateer may be sailing in either direction whereas in the ZX81 they will always sail from West to East.
Your objective is to sink as many of the Privateers as possible, your future promotion depends on your success in this mission.
See cassette shell.
Side A of the cassette is for the Spectrum 48K.
Side B of the cassette is for the 16K ZX81.
Follow the instructions in the relevant user's manual for your machine, always ensuring that the cassette recorder head is clean and the volume control and leads are correctly adjusted.
