Need for Speed Heat is the best the series has been in a while. It's not perfect by any stretch, but it has a charm that reminds me of the Underground days of old. Now that's a NfS game I can get down with.

Doesn't re-invent the wheel when it comes to open-world racing games, but does help reset the franchise in a way that felt necessary at this point. It's an enjoyable experience throughout, the story is entertaining... and the overall progression path is well-realised.
