The Multi-Aid package is an extremely useful and powerful three program utility which simplifies some of the more difficult aspects of programming the BBC computer. The programs come complete with full documentation and function key strips.
Character
Defines/edits Multi-coloured characters.
Soundlab
Experiment with up to seven envelope, and nine sound commands simultaneously.
Graph7
Create and saves and possible Mode 7 display.
Enables you to define and edit multi-coloured characters in blocks of up to 8 x 3 (max. 128 characters) using up to three chosen foreground colours and one background colour. Characters previously loaded into memory can also be recalled and edited. VDU23 statements are automatically generated and can be saved for later use.
Clearly displays all parameters for up to seven envelope and nine sound commands simultaneously. Any parameter easily altered *even* when envelopes are in use allowing changes to be heard as you make them. Envelopes already defined by another program can be read out of RAM and played/modified.
Any possible Mode 7 display can be drawn on the screen with minimal effort. Fully supports all Teletext control codes. Store up to 24 screens and recall at will for viewing or editing. Screens can also be saved and used in your own programs.
Tape: The required program is run from an index by typing CHAIN"INDEX"
Disc: SHIFT-BREAK and choose the required program from the main menu.
