MotoGP 14 delivers exciting, challenging and surprisingly deep motorcycle racing action. Its audio-visuals feel disappointingly last-generation, however.

Being fairly new to racing on two wheels, I wasn't sure how I would take to MotoGP, but found that it quite quickly grew on me as I became more familiar with the handling and physics of the incredibly powerful bikes, by way of the career mode and the wide selection of bikes and classes to work through.

While not as polished as other racing simulators, MotoGP 14 does a good job recreating the exciting sport. With a dizzying amount of single-player modes and a worthwhile online component, this game will keep fans of motorcycle racing busy for months to come. Too bad the visuals look so outdated and the career mode lacks variety.
