Shinobi III (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A decent platform ninja game, bigger and faster than the original. But it's not as good as Revenge Of Shinobi. It's a shame that more wasn't added to the concept.
Powermonger (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A massive challenge... It improves on Populous, but doesn't match Mega-Lo-Mania. Excellent value though.
Chiki Chiki Boys (Capcom) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A sound platform game. It would probably have scored much higher had the two-player feature not been missing from this conversion.
Shadow Of The Beast II (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A charmless arcade adventure that is past its prime, and fails to create any interest at all.
Universal Soldier (Accolade) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A particularly good example of an awful game. There are dozens of games of a similar ilk available that are far superior.
Predator 2 (Acclaim) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
An enjoyable game but ruined by the lack of any challenge.
Micro Machines (Codemasters) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A cracking game... Loads of characters to choose from and presentation screens abound.
Steel Talons (Tengen) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Dull, slow gameplay with a helicopter that is jerky, unresponsive and totally erratic to control. If you buy this you ought to be shot.
Rolo To The Rescue (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A very classy game with plenty of interesting touches.
Menacer (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A nice piece of kit it may be, but until there are a variety of decent titles to use with it, the Menacer is just an expensive novelty.
Space-Gun (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
An awful, awful conversion with nothing in it reminiscent of the arcade game whatsoever.
Another World (Virgin) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Very stylish and atmospheric... The presentation screens are real jaw-droppers. Impressive, effectively animated and directed too.
Prince Of Persia (Domark) (Sega Game Gear (EU Version))
Simply brilliant... Enough challenge to test the mettle of even the most experienced Game Gear owners... For hours of superb, involving play, Prince Of Persia is a must!
Super Space Invaders (Domark) (Sega Game Gear (EU Version))
Although the concept might be decades old, Super Space Invaders is still a highly satisfying blast, packing in brilliant arcade action and a serious challenge.
Hard Drivin' (Tengen) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Not challenging at all and becomes completely dull within an hour... Get it out of my sight.
Battle Squadron (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
As tough as ever, and the graphics haven't dated much at all.
Moonwalker (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
The comedic "dance 'em to death" routine still brings a smile to my face, but the game is really too easy.
Gain Ground (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
This is dull and boring... I thought it was crap when it first came out, and I like it even less nowadays.
Mickey Mouse: Castle Of Illusion (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
Still a brilliant platform game, although slightly behind carts like Sonic, Sonic II, Asterix and Donald Duck mean it looks ever-so-slightly aged now.
