Algebra * Graphs * Trigonometry
A brilliantly designed series of action-packed exercises that skilfully eliminate the traditional drudgery from Maths examination revision.
This totally new and exciting formula - devised by an entire top school Maths department - draws heavily on the graphics, animation and sound facilities of the home computer to intrigue, test and fire the imagination of the user.
A wholly flexible program uses an easily followed, step by step technique to explore the 22 major areas of the current Maths syllabuses of all the Examination Boards for 'O' Level, CSE and Over 16 examinations.
Cheshire Cat Maths 'O' Level Revision Part 2 includes:
and much, much more...
More than 100 fascinating exercises, carefully illustrated and animated, cover the key examination questions and the program integrates fully with other parts of the syllabus available in the Cheshire Car range. Cheshire Cat programs cover Maths from 1st School to A Level standard.
A vital additional exercise included in this program of 'O' Level revision is an invaluable insight into examination techniques which are the cornerstones of success.
The course is presented one screen page at a time. When a screen has been displayed, a "beep" sound is emitted and the user must type B, C or Q.
B | ... | Display the first screen page of the last logical page. |
Q | ... | Quit, i.e. return to Menu |
C | ... | Continue the program and display the next screen page. |
The program will print:
WHICH OPTION DO YOU REQUIRE?
If you type T, the program will terminate. i.e. it will jump out of Maths 'O' Level Revision and into BASIC mode. If you type C the program continues and the Menu is displayed. You can start from any of the topics listed by typing in the corresponding section number. Similarly, each section is divided into sub-sections and you can select the subsection from which you wish to start.
After the introduction of each topic, examples highlighting common problem areas are displayed. Each section is followed by a number of specially devised questions, which you should attempt to answer on paper. Answers are displayed, and if required, there are detailed solutions to most cases.
Each program is loaded and run in the same way:
CLOAD (ENTER)
When the OK returns, type RUN (ENTER)
An introductory display will appear on your screen after loading a program. The main part of the program will automatically load and run. You may switch off your cassette recorder as soon as the main program is loaded and running.
The above instructions assume that your cassette recorder is automatically started and stopped by the Dragon computer.
If this is not the case, stop the cassette as soon as the OK returns. Press Play again after RUN and ENTER. Immediately after the main program has loaded, stop the cassette or press PAUSE.
Maths 'O' Level Revision Part 2 consists of four programs, one on each side of the two cassettes.
The four parts are as follows:
Note: Algebra 1 comprises two programs - the second program is automatically loaded from the first on request.
The following utilities are also available to allow you to edit the supplied screens of this game:
