A vital additional exercise included in this program of 'O' Level revision is an invaluable insight into examination techniques which are the cornerstones of success.

The course is presented one screen page at a time. When a screen has been displayed, a "beep" sound is emitted and the user must type B, C or Q.

The program will print:

If you type T, the program will terminate. i.e. it will jump out of Maths 'O' Level Revision and into BASIC mode. If you type C the program continues and the Menu is displayed. You can start from any of the topics listed by typing in the corresponding section number. Similarly, each section is divided into sub-sections and you can select the subsection from which you wish to start.

After the introduction of each topic, examples highlighting common problem areas are displayed. Each section is followed by a number of specially devised questions, which you should attempt to answer on paper. Answers are displayed, and if required, there are detailed solutions to most cases.

Each program is loaded and run in the same way:

When the OK returns, type RUN (ENTER)

An introductory display will appear on your screen after loading a program. The main part of the program will automatically load and run. You may switch off your cassette recorder as soon as the main program is loaded and running.

The above instructions assume that your cassette recorder is automatically started and stopped by the Dragon computer.

If this is not the case, stop the cassette as soon as the OK returns. Press Play again after RUN and ENTER. Immediately after the main program has loaded, stop the cassette or press PAUSE.

Maths 'O' Level Revision Part 2 consists of four programs, one on each side of the two cassettes.

The four parts are as follows:

1. Algebra 1
   Expansions; Factorisation; Difference of two squares; Simple or Linear equations; Quadratic equations; Fractional equations; Simultaneous equations; Problems leading to equations; Change of subject of formula; Variation.
2. Algebra 2
   Indices. Surds - multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. Fractions - addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.
3. Trigonometry
   Basic trigonometry. Angles of elevation and depression. Ratio of angles. Solutions of triangles. Bearings. Sine and cosine rules.
4. Graphs
   Travel graphs; Straight line graphs; Curves.

Note: Algebra 1 comprises two programs - the second program is automatically loaded from the first on request.
