To most people a sudden "inheritance" or an unexpected win on the football pools would mean the chance to obtain their heart's desire and to make all their dreams come true. Some would splash out on a new car, others on a new house and one or two would fritter the money on a holiday of a lifetime, but to you, it means only one thing ... the chance to own a sea-going yacht of your very own!
Since early childhood you had dreamed of sailing the oceans in a sleek craft, be-decked with coloured sails and capable of navigating the varied seas of this world. You have harboured this dream for longer than you can care to remember and now this sudden influx of wealth meant that it was no longer a dream but a sure-fire certainty that you could possess the yacht of your dreams.
So with the cheque barely settled in the bank, you set out for the nearest boatyard and within a matter of hours were the proud owner of a brand-new yacht. All that was left to do was to take a couple of sailing lessons and then you would be free to set off on a voyage of great discovery.
The sailing lessons had seemed easy enough and, armed with what little knowledge you had accrued, you set off on your maiden voyage. What was to follow was not in any of the sailing manuals, nor was it in your wildest imagination ... However, things like this do happen and you must make the best of things if you wish to survive.
Will you be able to survive the effect of the violent tropical storm and if so, what will you do next? Your very life will depend upon some quick thinking and the out-of-the-ordinary use of some very "ordinary" objects, so do not forget the old adage that once a body sinks for the third time it is all over and done with.
This game will recognise all the "normal" commands such as EXAMINE, GET, DROP, WAIT, OPEN etc as well as some more slightly unusual ones (but these you will have to find out for yourself). Use the commands RAM SAVE and RAM LOAD to store your position to memory, but always use the standard SAVE and LOAD to store your position to tape. Use the commands FONT 1 and FONT 2 to change the character set and the abbreviation QQ to quit the current game position.
This may be given in certain situations but most of the time survival will depend upon your own skills. However, remember one thing ... not only sharks have fins!!
