Mario Tennis is back and this time it's fully online with no gameplay issues that I found. Aces has the best gameplay of the series so far... If you like party sports games, you really can't go wrong with this one.

Looks and performs as well as anything you'd expect, but its family friendly appearance disguises a brutally difficult single player experience that will surely alienate younger players. For those willing to put in the time and effort there's still enjoyment to be found in its surprisingly challenging, albeit embellished, take on the sport.

Retains the enjoyable core gameplay of the series while ushering in plenty of fresh and exciting mechanics. It could definitely use more content outside its cool Adventure mode but what's here is still a racket-smashing good time.

There's a solid package here, even if it doesn't feel like it has legs for the long term.
