Full Instructions
Inkosi
Instruct is a review of the rules and instructions for playing the main program.
Inkosi includes full graphics and sound, and there is a copy on each side of the tape.
The Main Rules
You are king of a tribe in Ancient Africa. You must rule wisely for ten years. Each year you must feed the tribe, plant crops, slaughter cattle or buy more cows. Your aim is to finish up with as many cattle as possible, because cows are valued above all else!
Your Budget:
- trade 10 sacks of maize to buy one cow
- one sack of maize feeds one person for a year
- one cow (killed) feeds two people for a year
- plant maize so that at Harvest, you will have more for next year!
You Lose:
- if more than one third starves during a year
- if the tribe grows to more than 3,000
The Computer will choose what happens to you each year, and what the harvest is like. Watch out for the Witchdoctor!
Your score is how many cattle you have after ten years, but you will need skill to stay in charge. Good luck, Inkosi!
