A fine addition to the Horace family which will keep you busy for months. Read Review
Reviewed in the annual Crash Annual 2018.
Once upon a time, a little creature known as Horace wandered too far into the Mystic Woods. The Mystic Woods, being what they are, shifted and moved until Horace was really lost. Horace is afraid that he will never get out and so has called for your help to aid in his escape.
The woods will spring many suprises on you. It will take all your wits and agility to help Horace get home.
64 terrible areas await you, can you help him?
Horace is played over 64 increasingly difficult levels, filled with many dangerous obstacles. To exit a level, Horace must collect all the stars on the current level. When the last one is collected the door will open allowing you to move onto the next level. To hinder your progress, each level has several moving enemies, precarious ledges, and deadly spikes. Horace can be hurt in several ways - falling off the level, touching an enemy, or touching a spike.
Play from start - Play from the beginning, level 1. Play from last level - Return to the highest level played. Difficulty - You may play the game in three modes - Easy, Normal, or hard. The harder you play, the higher your score. Sound options - select sound or no sound.
Z - Left, X - Right, L - Jump
All keys can be re-defined, or a joystick chosen, from the title screen.
When you move Horace you will notice that the longer you hold down the direction key, the faster he will move. But be warned that the faster he is moving, the longer he will take to turn round. Horace will also bounce off solid walls if you run into them too fast.
