Now Games (Activision) (Commodore 64)
All of the games are golden oldies and I suppose that this is the best way to market games which have passed their craze phase.
Beach Head 2 (US Gold) (Commodore 64/128)
A good high quality game needing both skill and brains... If you liked Beach Head, you'll love this one.
Steve Davis Snooker (CDS) (Commodore 64)
Distinguishing the balls can be difficult on a black and white TV.
Rescue On Fractalus (Activision) (Commodore 64/128)
An exciting action simulation. The game has several levels... the action on the higher levels become fast and furious enough even for the most battle hardened player.
Pinball Construction Set (Ariolasoft) (Commodore 64)
Great fun, but its lasting appeal must be in question.
Ian Botham's Test Match (Tynesoft) (Commodore 64)
The general play tended to be awkward and unsatisfying. The omission of a human versus computer option is rather a mistake.
Seven Cities Of Gold (Ariolasoft) (Commodore 64/128)
A complex and enjoyable game which is slick and attractive.
Adventure Construction Set (Ariolasoft) (Commodore 64)
A powerful and entertaining package. Does not allow standalone games which you could sell.
Paintbox (Audiogenic) (Commodore 64)
Not a bad package... It's worth a close look.
Ashkeron (Mirrorsoft) (Amstrad CPC464)
From a few hours play, and no info, OK, but not wonderful.
Super Sam (Budgie) (Spectrum 48K)
This isn't a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but it's okay for a few undemanding hours' play.
Shuffle (Budgie) (Acorn Electron)
If you are a puzzle addict then Shuffle is definitely the game for you. Excellent value for money.
Diamond Mine (Blue Ribbon) (Acorn Electron)
Difficult to master and repetitive to use.
Master Of The Lamps (Activision) (MSX)
The concept is interesting, and the graphics and sound are very good, particularly the music which accompanies the magic carpet flight.
Graham Gooch's Test Cricket (Audiogenic) (Commodore 64)
It's good fun, and where else can you see Border bowl weakly to a defensive Ian Botham?
Guy In The Hat/Secret Sam 2 (Blue Ribbon) (BBC Model B)
Both the games on this cassette are fairly average, but remember a few years ago they could have been available separately at £7.95.
Birdie Barrage (CDS) (BBC B/B+/Master 128)
Addictive and very enjoyable and its response to the choice of the club, strength of shot and direction; was consistent and realistic.
Fu-Kung In Las Vegas (Amsoft) (Amstrad CPC464)
Truly grim! Not as good as some ZX81 games I've seen! What on earth are Amsoft doing releasing this?
Everyone's A Wally (Mikro-Gen) (Amstrad CPC464)
A masterpiece. Different and superb.
Screwball (Blue Ribbon) (BBC Model B)
On the whole, the game is of a high standard.
Kiddisoft Magazine (Kiddisoft) (Spectrum 48K)
More care should have been taken with the content of the tape to attract children, possibly it is too ambitious a project for a small firm to tackle.
