A limited but useful program for junior/middle schools or remedial classes. Read Review
This program gives practice and tests on "homophones" (words which though spelt differently, sound the same when spoken). Correct answers mean the player can progress on an air journey from London to Paris.
The program aims to help understanding of:
After pressing f0, the Parents or Teachers section will begin. You are given a brief description of the program and asked to select a set of words to test or try. Please refer to the list below to choose a set:

The program also has six 'test' sets with different words for each sentence. These are numbered 23-28. You may then select to have sound or not as you wish before the children's section starts.
The child is asked to type their name and press the Space Bar to continue, after which the passengers arrive for their trip to Paris. The distance and fuel left is noted also.
The first sentence then appears with its possible words. The yellow arrow flashes to the left of one of the words and moves up and down. After reading the sentence and deciding which word fits in the space, the child simply presses the space bar when the arrow is next to the selected word. This is then checked and, if correct, the aeroplane moves on its journey to Paris. If wrong, valuable fuel is wasted.
Although there are ten sentences in each group, the child need only get seven correct for a successful landing. If however the plane does not reach Paris (i.e. the child does not score 7 correct out of 10) the plane runs out of fuel with the inevitable result.
Another try is then offered but please note that this will be on the *same* set of words. If you prefer to try another set, press N and then type RUN (RETURN) and select another set to try.
If you have a disc system fitted:
