Once more the pile of sawdust at the bottom or DELBERT's cage has undergone a thorough investigation and this time we have unearthed a collection of titles conceived and constructed by the one and only GARETH PITCHFORD.
Some of you may ask just who the hell is this guy and some of you may already have encountered his work before ... albeit in another "life". But either way, you are all going to be subjected to his talents once again, because Zenobi Software (in one of their more irresponsible moments) have taken the liberty of putting four of his little masterpieces on one diskette/tape and allowing the poor unsuspecting public to fork out some of their hard-earned cash for the dubious privilege of playing them ... You have been warned, so no refunds will be payable!
The titles in question are ...
In this highly educational (or so the notes that accompanied the game proudly announced) game you get the chance to play EDMOND, an accident-prone electron. EDMOND has not had a very good day so far and in fact has crash-landed his "orbital" (whatever that is!) on the city of ELEKTRONZ which lies a long way from his home. The problem now is just how is he going to get home and just how does he go about obtaining the means to do just that.
Your task is simple ... just guide EDMOND around ELEKTRONZ and help him find his way home. In the process of doing that you will get to know everything about the life of an electron.
There are many different and varied tales of just how the HOLY SNAIL was discovered... and all of them tinged with sadness, but ignore all the others and concentrate on this one instead. For this one tells of Sir Godfrey de Glastonbury and his travels in ancient Arthurian Britain and of his quest to find the fabled mollusc ... Which legend has it was hidden away in an old castle on the other side of town.
A small romantic tale of one ERNIE SPLUDGE and his unrequited love for his darling ROSIE... albeit with more than a hint of melodrama thrown in for good measure. ERNIE's love could not have been that unrequited because ROSIE and him had been making plans to get betrothed. However, a harsh lover's tiff had resulted in ERNIE breaking off the affair and writing a rather vile letter to ROSIE highlighting all her bad points. Your quest/task is to recover said letter before it reaches its destination and destroys his marriage plans.
Assist ERNIE SPLUDGE to reach the church in time for his own wedding and don't forget to pick up a wedding ring, best man, bridal car and all the other necessary paraphernalia.
Use the commands RAMSAVE and RAMLOAD to store a position in memory, but always use the more usual command of SAVE and LOAD to disk to make a more permanent record of progress.
