Flexibase

The master cassette-based database for the BBC Microcomputer.

Flexibase as the name suggests is a very flexible database. You choose how many fields in each record. You choose how many characters in each field. Consequently the maximum number of records can be extended.

File - A set of records (up to 32)
Record - A set of fields (up to 254 characters per record)
Field - An individual piece of information

Features

All output to either screen or printer

Sort - All records can be sorted alphabetically (on field field only) with secondary sort on any of the first ten fields in your preferred order

Search - An option to locate all records which fall within selected criteria

Match a string in any field
Match a string in one field
Less than match string
Greater than match string

or any combination of the above using < and > and < or > logic operations.

(Also option to reverse selection and choose records which do not match the selected criteria should this be more informative.)
