A shoot-'em-up by Frantisek Fuka
F.I.R.E. - Fast. Ingenious. Risky. Elimination
You're alone... outmanned and outgunned, in the far reaches of human space. Fight hard against legions of intergalactic troublemakers who are looking to kill you and sell your ship for scrap.
Fly with skill, collect all the power-ups, dispense galatic justice to the scum of the universe and, just possibly, survive to fly another day!
Fly your spacecraft through hostile alien territory. Battle to make your way through wave after wave of enemy craft, each one looking to turn you into lootable scrap.
Before humans abandoned these areas of space, they left boost pods around for exploration craft. The craft would use these to power their engines, but your craft is able to divert the power in the pods to either your speed, guns, lasers or shields. When you collect a pod, you can either select to use it immediately or keep it and add another, advancing one stage up the upgrade queue each time you collect a new boost pod. To activate the highlighted upgrade, simply hit the SELECT button. Your upgrade will then be activated and your upgrade queue will reset to zero.
Warning: It is possible to destroy boost pods with your shots or laser blasts. Please be careful not to do so, as you will lose your chance to obtain the valuable upgrade energy within.
Your in-flight controls are defineable in the main menu of the game. Choose your preferred control set, strap in and get ready to fight your way through the hostile alien hordes!
