The programs are bug-free and presented nicely, the articles move from absolute beginner to the Acorn boffin, the reviews are diverse and free-ranging and everything exhibits a wonderful aura that was the world of BBC and Elk expansions in January 1986.
Finn meets up with friendly as well as fiendish characters and, although the game is truly awesome in its proportions, it cleverly restricts you to certain areas at the outset so that you can get the 'feel' of how to play it without being overawed.
This will not simply entertain you for a few hours but its sheer sophisticated presentation will actually have your friends fighting for a go, possibly without even suspecting its aged origins.
The page-setting, spellchecking and editorial policy lacks many qualities and, with the current apathy surrounding 8-bit, one can but wonder how long it will survive.
