Dragon Racer's sound is good, but I would have preferred to have sound only when moving, and not all the time! As so little of the screen has been utilised, a system of dials or some other form of visual display would have added to the program. Read Review
The object of the game is to drive your supercharged, four-gear racer as far as you can without crashing or blowing the engine. To do this, you must control the throttle, brake and steering wheel (right joystick) and the gear lever (left joystick).
If your revs go above 12,000 (maximum RPM) then your engine will blow. The same will happen if the car overheats. If you use your brakes too much, they will eventually wear out (the tick will change to a cross).
The maximum speed indicator shows the advised maximum speed and exceeding it will put your life in extreme danger. If it is raining, you must subtract 20 MPH from it.
To add to all this, you must dodge the other competitors (on the position indicator your car is shown halfway down the screen). The skill level determines how fast the game responds - the faster it responds, the harder the game (Level 3 is the fastest).
The positions are as follows:
Up-Left | = | 1st Gear |
Down-Right | = | 2nd Gear |
Up-Right | = | 3rd Gear |
Down-Right | = | 4th Gear |
Left and Right move car. Up to throttle. Down to brake.

The object of the game is to defend your Planet from the Wasp attackers. To do this, you must fire your laser at the fighters. The laser is activated by pressing the Fire button. You have four ships with which to defend your Planet.
The Wasps may also crash on your Planet. When they do this they destroy any outposts in their path. As the game progresses they tend to crash more often, so making the game harder.
As you clear each screen the points awarded for each Wasp hit will increase. When your score reaches 65,536, it will be set to zero again and the commander level will increment by one.
When you have no outposts or ships left, the game is over.
Good luck!
