Dragon Ninja
The Opponents in your battle for supremacy are four types of Evil Ninja star-throwing Assassins whose skills are manifold and dangerous. Also out to spoil your day are Acrobatic Women Warriors and vicious Guard Dogs. At the end of each level you must overcome the Ninja Master in order to progress - some examples of these super-human villains are: A fire-breathing Fat Man, an Armour-Clad Giant and the Green and Gruesome Giant Ninja - who has a disconcerting habit of suddenly multiplying into an army!
The Game
The latest hot arcade game from Data East explodes with heart-thumping fury. Seven levels of lean, mean, fighting screens to battle through.
Use your special Martial Arts skills, Punch, Kick, Jump, Flying-kick and Super-punch; with added power in the shape of special Ninja-style weapons.

Gameplay
Battle your way through screen after screen of adversaries, progressing right or left depending on the level.
You face a giant enemy at the end of each level who must be disposed of with multiple hits.
You can collect extra weapons (chain or knife) if dropped by a fallen enemy. There are also capsules scattered randomly around the playfield. Time capsules give extra time for the level while energy ones replenish your life source.
The Super-punch feature allows you to knock down several adversaries with one blow. This power blow takes all your concentration and can only be implemented by standing still and holding down the fire-button for a few seconds until charged.
Hints And Tips
- Keep a look out for Ninjas with weapons, they carry useful objects which you can pick up.
- Extra weapons extend your reach, so make sure you keep hold of them.
- The giant Adversaries need more than one hit - dodge, then attack!
- Make sure you're facing the right direction when implementing the Super-punch, as you cannot move during the charging process.
- Be careful out there!
Game Controls
Keys are redefinable. If using a joystick:
Left - Walk Left, Right - Walk Right, Up - Jump, Down - Crouch
Push left/up or right/up to jump left/right.
To perform an ankle kick, move right/down.
With fire button pressed:
Left - Back Kick, Right - High Punch, Up - Hight Jump, Down - Ankle Kick
Up/Left - High Jump, Up/Right - High Kick, Down/Left - Jump Down, Down/Right - Low Punch
Scoring
Points are scored for disposing of adversaries (200) and 50 for a hit on the giant Ninjas: 3,000 points are awarded for disposing of these big baddies. If time reaches zero, game over. If energy reaches zero, life lost.
Loading
LOAD"" (ENTER)
The 48K version (Side 1) is a multi-load game. On completion of each level you will need to load a short program. Follow the on-screen prompts.
On the +2, +3 and 128K Spectrums, use the 128K version (Side 2). Select Tape Loader from the on-screen menu and follow the on-screen prompts.
Dragon Ninja
El último gran lanzamiento de Data East llega repleto de emocionantes y arriesgadas aventuras. Siete niveles de dificultad con violentas y salvajes pantallas de lucha que deberás superar una tras otra.
Pon a prueba tus habilidades en las artes marciales: puñetazo, patada, salto, patada al aire, super-puñetazo y utiliza los poderes especiales Ninja.
En tu lucha por la supremacia te enfrentarás a cuatro tipos de asesinos Ninja que son muy hábiles y peligrosos. Además, para animar la partida, hay Luchadoras Acrobáticas y feroces Perror Guardianes.
Para pasar al nivel siguiente deberás destruir al Maestro Ninja. Algunos ejemplos de estos luchadores super-hombres son: el Gordo Lanza-llamas, el Gigante Blindado y el espantoso Olant Ninja, que tiene la manía de multiplicarse repentinamente en un ejército completo.
¿Exito en la misión? Aún no, antes de terminar rescata al presidente de Estados Unidos de las garras de estos malvados luchadores y llévalo a un lugar seguro.

Controles
Teclado redefinible, Joystick Cursor y Sinclair.
Joystick (hacia la derecha)
Con el botón disparo pulsado
Nota Joystick en la puerta 1, un solo jugador. Para cargar el Super-puñetazo mantén pulsado el botón disparo durante unos segundos y suéltalo para accionarlo.
El Juego
Abrete camino por cada una de las pantallas y lucha una y otra vez contra cada uno de tus adversarios. Avanzas a izquierda o derecha dependiendo del nivel.
Al final de cada nivel te enfrentarás a un enemigo gigante al que tendrás que golpear varias veces para destruirlo.
Puedes recoger armas extra (cadena o cuchillo) si caen de un adversario vencido. También verás algunas cápsulas esparcidas aleatoriamente por la zona de juego. Las cápsulas de tiempo te dan tiempo extra para completar el nivel en el que te encuentras. Las cápsulas de energia reponen tu fuente de vida.
El Super-puñetazo te permite golpear a varios adversarios al mismo tiempo. Para dar uno de estos potentes puñetazos quédate de pie y mantén pulsado el botón disparo durante unos segundos.

Puntuación
Ganas 200 puntos cada vez que destruyes a uno de tus adversarios y 50 por cada golpe a un Ninja gigante: ganas 3.000 puntos cuando vences a los "grandes malos".
Cuando el tiempo llega a cero: termina la partida.
Cuando tu nivel de energía llega a cero: pierdes una vida.
Sugerencias
- Para darle precisión a tus golpes practica los diferentes movimientos para conocer lo más exactamente posible la distancia que hay entre tu cuerpo y el de tu adversario.
- Vigila a los Ninja armados porque también llevan objetos útiles que puedes recoger.
- Las armas extra amplían tu alcance y posibilidades, comprueba que las llevas.
- Para destruir a los adversarios gigantes tendrás que golpearles varias veces, esquivalos y después atácalos.
- Cuando lances un Super-puñetazo comprueba que estás hacia la derecha porque no podrás moverte mientras se carga.

Instrucciones De Carga
Carga 1 de 48K (cara etiquetada). Dragón Ninja es un juego multicarga. Para cargar la primera parte del programa teclea LOAD" y entrarás al nivel 1.
Cada vez que terminas un nivel deberás cargar un pequeño programa. Sigue en todo momento las instrucciones de pantalla.
Para cargar las versiones +2, +3 de 128K (cara 2).
- Coloca la cinta en tu cassette y rebobinala.
- Comprueba que la conexión MIC está apagada y que los controles del tono y volumen se encuentran correctamente ajustados.
- Si tu ordenador es un Spectrum 48K o un Spectrum+ cárgalo de la siguente manera. Teclea LOAD"" (ENTER) (fíjate que no hay espacio entre las dos comas). La " se obtiene pulsando las teclas SHIFT y P simultáneamente.
- Pulsa PLAY en el cassette y el juego se cargará automáticamente. Si tienes problemas ajusta los controles de tono/volumen y consulta el capitulo 6 de tu manual Spectrum.
- Si tu ordenador es un Spectrum 128K sigue las instrucciones de pantalla o consulta el manual de tu ordenador.
Disco Spectrum +3
Instala y enciende el sistema como se indica en el manual de instrucciones de tu ordenador.
Inserta el disco y pulsa ENTER para seleccionar la opción LOADER. El programa se cargará automáticamente.
