Death's Gambit has all the makings of a fantastic 2D Souls-like experience. Getting through the campaign right now requires a bit of patience due to glitches so hopefully, White Rabbit will refine the experience to ensure players can get the most out of it.

An above-average 2D hardcore title, with challenging bosses and some solid environmental design. However the game lacks atmosphere and repeating the same steps can you wear down. It's not really a "bad" game. It simply doesn't have the spark that others in the genre do.
