Big Nose's American Adventure (Codemasters)

A notch above your average platform game, with plenty of original features, this is a right bargain.

Bismarck (Summit)

It takes a while to get used to, but its atmosphere, playability and incredible degree of historical accuracy make it a real winner.

Corya The Warrior Sage (The Guild)

An excellent game which features logical, well thought out problems and text so strong you'll think you're reading a Tolkien novel. With a little more spit and polish it could have been a Smash.

Devastating Blow (Beyond Belief)

For all its faults, Devastating Blow is a playable game that could easily go ten rounds with some of the full-priced beat-'em-up games currently on the market.

Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone (Storm)

Beat-'em-ups have been around since the dawn of the Speccy and now need to be something really special to impress... It may appeal to fans of the trilogy.

Edd The Duck (Zeppelin Games)

A good platform game. Owes more than a little to Rainbow Islands for inspiration, but that isn't such a bad thing.

Fun School 4 (Europress)

These packs are excellent value for money... The graphics are especially noteworthy - some are monochrome but others contain all the colours of the rainbow!

Jimmy's Soccer Manager (Beyond Belief)

There are much better soccer management games around than this if you look for them - and you won't have to look far.

The Last Commando (Summit)

This is a game style that's well worth forking out for.

Moontorc (Atlantis)

A rather spiffy game, especially the small but colourful, nicely detailed backgrounds.

Movie Premiere (Elite)

Movie Premiere is a 50-50 split, two good and two crap games. Consider carefully before purchase.

The Neverending Story 2 (Linel)

A classic example of how having the wrong difficulty levels can destroy a game. It's great... but only if you're using a cheat to get you through the levels when you get fed up with the rock-hard level one!

Paperboy 2 (Mindscape)

More of the same for Paperboy fans, and a great arcade conversion for newcomers.

Quattro Fighters (Codemasters)

All the Quattro packs are great value for money. There are some great graphics and there's always a surprise around the next corner.

Super Seymour Saves The Planet (Codemasters)

A fun little arcade game starring the latest and greatest of computer cartoon characters.

Space Gun (Ocean)

A non-stop, wicked shoot-'em-up extravaganza... There's a dazzling game in here with some neat touches - arms drop off, heads explode and the aliens still keep coming back for more!
