Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Doom Pit (Monument Microgames) (Spectrum 128K)
Quite simply, a brilliant game which deserves many hours of your time.
Black Sea Treasures (Mananuk) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
The game offers nothing that you haven't seen a hundred times already; with its fixed path enemies and four-way directions, it offers nothing more than a mediocre experience.
DuckTales: Webby To The Rescue (N10team) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
This is a nice looking standard search, find and collect type of game that is also rather charming. Pity it's so short though.
Hallowed Knight (EJVG) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A classy looking game, marred a little by the control of your main character - the 'floaty' arc when you jump just doesn't feel quite right.
Lava (zosya.net) (Spectrum 16K/48K/Plus/128K)
A great example of what can be done with limited memory in the right hands though the simplistic gameplay lets it down a tad.
Big Nose's American Adventure (Codemasters) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
Large cartoony and lovable sprites... The levels are rather large, and it provides a reasonable platforming challenge for those who like to leap from block to block.
Crisis At Christmas (Sinclair User) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
Perhaps not one for the kids, especially if they still believe in Santa, but it's a good one for beginners to the genre.
A Spell Of Christmas Ice (Star Dreams) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
Great, fun for kids and grown ups alike.
Treasure Hunters (SaNchez) (ZX Next)
Highly playable and accessible platforming. Just slightly lacking in depth.
Snowed Under (Cronosoft) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
It delivers what you'd expect from a game like this, perhaps just the ticket to play when stuffed after Christmas dinner.
Mech Wars: Arena (ZXBitles) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A game that you'll end up playing for hours, whether you have your friends around or not.
