Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Mowy Adventures Beer Quest (Mowy Entertainment) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A bland affair with not much return-to-play qualities.
Pillars (Under4Mhz) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A solid Tetris-inspired game, but it does little to expand on the genre.
Forward To The Past (Sloanysoft) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
The game is colourful, charming, and all-too-familiar in the play mechanic, so what is not to like? My only criticism is that a nice tune and more spot effects would have been welcome.
Alien Girl (Javier Fopiani) (Spectrum 128K/+2/+3)
A real polished title that provides a good challenge and is worthy of the Alien franchise that inspired it.
Stripping Penelope (Jaime Grilo) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
Strip away the unnecessary and offensive theme, and you have yourself an unoriginal, bland platformer that relies on this theme to garner attention when more work should have been done on the game itself. Are people that desperate to see a naked woman in Spectrum form? I'd guess not.
Sleep Walker (Zeppelin Games) (Spectrum 48K)
Quite a unique game; a mansion full of, what is essentially, boobytraps... It's like playing in a "Home Alone" house.
Hibernated 1: The Director's Cut (poly.play) (ZX Next)
An atmospheric story, excellent dialogue and puzzles. I left wanting more.
Travel Through Time Vol. 1: Northern Lights (zosya.net) (Spectrum 128K/+2/+3)
The complete package as far as elite games are concerned. One you need in your collection.
Xeno Brigade (BitmapSoft) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A deep and involving strategy game perfectly finds its home on the new Spectrum. The game delivers the experience well, and fans of Rebelstar and Laser Squad should really check it out.
