Captain Dynamo (Codemasters) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
Bright, fun and has a brilliant soundtrack.
Nosy (Javier Fopiani) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2)
An atmospheric, interesting and engrossing encounter, and one of the scariest games ever on the ZX Spectrum. Play it - if you dare!
Last Train To Tranz Central (Quantum Sheep) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
It's pure magic when you load up a new game and an absolutely stunning AY tune belts out of the TV/PC speaker. This one's also challenging and enjoyable.
Down The Pipe (Df Designs) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A tough shooter but quite enjoyable. Prepare for a long sit-in mastering this one!
Savage Princess (BitmapSoft) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A well thought out game, marred by its engine constraints.
Main Course: The Retro Cut (Quantum Sheep) (Spectrum 48K)
Original main character, funny descriptions and comments. Good challenge for beginners.
Grelox: Colony 7 (Sunteam) (ZX Next)
A great little adventure game that showcases what the ZX Next is capable of. It is far too short for my liking and way too easy, but it does tease of future Grelox stories and adventures to come, which I welcome.
Marsmare Alienation (Drunk Fly) (Spectrum 128K)
Now here we have quite a special game - one that belongs in the camp of titles that when you start playing, time just stands still. I got so immersed in Alienation... The graphics and music are both excellent.
Pi-Dentity (Fusion Retro Books) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)
A very neat-looking game with some nice touches. Just the right level of toughness to make you come back for more.
Wonderful Dizzy (The Oliver Twins) (Spectrum 128K)
All of the great Dizzy tropes are still here and I'm sure fans will get what they expect out of this Oz-like adventure. The story choice and level design is up there with the best in the series.
Q*Bee (D-Lo Videogames) (ZX Next)
Single-screen platformers may not be your particular brand of vodka, but you don't need to be a fan of Q*Bert in order to enjoy this game.
