With a bit more work on the gameplay Cavemania could been really entertaining. As it stands, it's simply annoying. Read Review
Harmless, pointless fun - the kind of game you'd play on a Sunday afternoon, when you can't face that English essay and your brain's running on auto. Read Review
Fed up with Brontosaurus steaks, Ug has set his heart on the fresh Pterodactyl eggs that he can see on a ledge high up in the cliffs. Help Ug to avoid the erupting volcanoes and fight the fearsome Dinosaurs in his quest to steal the eggs and carry them safely back to his cave.
You play the part of Ug the caveman who, in his quest for fresh Pterodactyl eggs, has decided to explore all of the other islands that he can see from his cave. Eventually he hopes to reach Spike Island which holds many oppurtunities for anyone brave enough to risk the dangers of such an exploration.
You must collect three eggs from an island before progressing to the next, each island being more dangerous than the last. Only 1 egg can be carried at a time and this must be taken, unbroken, to your cave.
Eggs will be broken if you fall into the fast-flowing river that criss-crosses your route home. Along the journey you may find extra rocks to throw and fruit to replenish your energy. Points are awarded for fruit and rocks collected, Dinosaurs and other enemies clubbed or stoned and eggs returned safely to your cave. High scores can be recorded on the high score table by using the keyboard to enter your name.
Good Luck!
