An unsuccessful treasure hunter, you've been down on your luck for some time now. Scant pickings have forced you further and further out into the hills and forests, compelling you to seek your fortune in ever more inhospitable and dangerous locations.
Unfortunately your luck has just got worse... A dark cavern, a sudden rockfall, and somehow you find yourself trapped in what appears to be a collection of some particularly ancient and foreboding ruins..
In a pile of rubble you stumble upon a skeleton, a like-minded fortune-seeker no doubt... On closer inspection you find a crumpled note in its grasp, its contents faintly visible. Squinting in the darkness, you make out a few words:
"...Balachor..! ..... through the catacombs... can defeat .... sorcerer .... must find the symbols... ... haunted crypts... seek out... hidden ways beyond the walls ... "
Determined not to meet the same fate, you get up, dust yourself down, and peer down a nearby tunnel into the gloom, looking for a way out... A glowing hue in the distance brightens your spirits - perhaps there's some loot to be found here after all...?
