This is a relatively short game, with not much to do to ensure your getaway right at the end, but it is enjoyable getting there. Read Review
Reviewed in the annual Crash Annual 2018.
The galaxy is a rough place and the overstretched Galactic Law Enforcement need as much help as the can get. They of course draw the line at vigilantes, but authorised Bounty Hunters are tolerated.
Bounty-hunting is one of the careers with the shortest life expectancy and only drifters, drunks and mad men take it up with the hope of getting lucky.
Bounties are usually very high and the price on any criminal can make life very comfortable for their captors. The downside is that there is no back up, no friends and no chance of making it past 30.
Currently there is a lack of hunters in your galaxy and prices for wanted criminals are massive. Taking up the challenge you decide to give it try. Selling everything you own there is just enough to get you an old and well used starship, a full tank of fuel and a nice hat.
Not long after you set out, an anonymous message comes in claiming a wanted felon by the name of Frooge has just landed on a nearby planet.
This is it, your first bounty…
Bounty is a text adventure that accepts two word commands (sometimes a few more!).
Useful commands:
N, S, E, W, U, D - will move you North, South, East, West, Up and Down respectively.
I - Inventory of things you are carrying.
L - Look around and get a description of your current location.
GET - To pick up items (also TAKE or PICK).
DROP - Put down an item (also PUT).
EXAMINE - Examine an item.
SAVE - Save the game progress to tape.
LOAD - Load a saved game back in. (also RESTORE)
QUIT - work it out yourself!
You can also use 'IT' to reference an item you have had previous actions with in the current location.
For example:
GET GUN ... You pick up the gun.
EXAMINE IT ... It's a nice Colt 45.
DROP IT ... You drop the gun.
