A faithful re-imagining. It brings the beloved survival-horror classic into the modern era with a host of new features, content tweaks and graphical updates.

Capcom continues to push the Resident Evil franchise forward with their pristine remake of Resident Evil 4 [2023 Remake] [2023 Remake]. Few words can describe how much love was poured into this well crafted survival horror experience that will continue to stand the test of time as a masterpiece.

More a reimagining than a straight remake but despite the difficulty of recapturing lighting in a bottle, this is both a loving tribute to the original Resident Evil 4 and a great game in its own right.

The core narrative stays true to the original, but it's not afraid to make some significant changes, while the new gameplay flow lends itself brilliantly for repeated runs for specific challenges that I'm already planning.

This Resident Evil 4 remake has officially dethroned Dead Space as my Game of the Year.
