If you want a good fantasy role-playing game that lasts a long time, I can recommend Xyphus as a fine example of the genre.
Fighter Command (Strategic Simulations Inc)
Against the computer, the game plays well, though on the easy levels the computer-controlled raids can be a little predictable, especially in good weather.
Picturewriter (Scarborough Systems)
An entertaining package... although its value in an educational role is a bit more doubtful.
