A simple game in concept but one that has been improved upon to turn it into one of the best shoot-'em-ups to appear on the Amstrad.
An odd game. I can admire it for its technical brilliance and the amount of work which has obviously gone into it, but that does not mean I'd buy it. In fact, I don't think I like it.
Professional Snooker Simulator (Codemasters)
A snooker game? How original. With Alex Higgins in the Amsoft corner and Steve Davis playing for CDS the last thing the world needs is a third contender. Even if it is budget, give it a miss.
The conversion to the Amstrad is a triumph. The screenshots may not look too hot, but get behind the joystick and you'll be hooked.
The graphics are very mediocre. Most of the game is like a trumped up Frogger and the sound is tedious.
Super Robin Hood (Codemasters)
Nothing spectacular, but an enjoyable game. The animation's nice, and the falls really bone-splintering.
