Cluedo may not be the classiest program ever written but there's no need for other humans, and you'll buy it if you want to play the hugely successful game on your Amstrad.

A very addictive game featuring the cutest character ever... Some great fun that will test your skill as well.

Fairlight (The Edge)

Testing puzzles give this game depth, and there are detailed and atmospheric castle graphics too. A good combination of fighting and brain work.

FA Cup Football (Virgin)

There isn't enough for the player to do or control here.

Moon Cresta (Incentive)

A nice nostalgic blast but probably won't interest you for too long.

The Last V8 (Mastertronic)

Excellently detailed screen display, smooth multi-directional scrolling and great music... Very difficult to complete, though.

The Way Of The Tiger (Gremlin)

Excellent graphics and animation, 'trigeminal' scrolling and some nasty-looking opponents don't quite compensate for the slightly repetitive gameplay.

Get Dexter (PSS/Ere Informatique)

This is amazingly good... Colourful and detailed screens and animation... Lots of puzzling tasks to figure out.

Tomahawk (Digital Integration)

The days are gone when you could have either a realistic simulator or a worthwhile game, but not both. This game quite definitely is both.

Much too old a game to have much appeal... It may appeal to strategy fans, but it's unlikely to make many converts.

Good range of options plus strong card play... But poor documentation and it seems to play erratically.

Very frustrating and the graphics are very disappointing. After all that build up with hi-res tank pictures... you get a garish bunch of blocky colour!

The graphics and sound are very ordinary with a very funny looking crowd. Certainly not much to shout about here.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood (Ocean)

A must for anyone who wants a really original adventure - otherwise, it's a bit disappointing. And it's a shame about the miserable animation.

A tough game task calling for fast and efficient action... Atmospheric graphics and action.

Nothing spectacular here - it's essentially just a colourful shoot-'em-up. A budget game, without the cheapness.

It may not look as good as Cyrus, but the levels and gameplay are far more adaptable to an individual's skill.

Muddy graphics, awful control and off-key music... All Rambo has going for it is frustration - and that's just not good enough.

Tournament Snooker (Magnificent Seven)

Snooker isn't the best game for converting on to a computer but this is about the best that can be achieved. Warning: Two players only.

The Lost Phirious Part 1: Cassiopia (Vidipix)

This program greets every incorrect entry with the words "You can't do that, my old goos gog"... it's a good thing that in space no-one can hear you scream!

A package that simply cries out for your cash.
