Denis Grachev returns to Bum Fun Software with a fantastic release designed to make you think. Hard. Control two parts of the same soul. Together, but apart. Whole, but divided.

Use the ability to switch between two sides of yourself to change perspective on the fiendish puzzles. Figure out each level by swapping to your alter ego and reaching for the unreachable. Progress onwards to even more confounding cerebral condundrums.

This double pack contains both of the game programs in Denis Grachev's highly regarded Alter Ego series, the original Alter Ego and the sequel, Dreamwalker.

Hours of brain-teasing platform mayhem are contained within these two titles, giving you twice the brain-twisting joy and twice the Bum Fun!

How To Play

In Alter Ego and Dreamwalker: Alter Ego 2, you must use both yourself and your alter ego in order to complete the puzzles faced in each level. Puzzles are completed by collecting all the items on each stage. To collect an item, simply walk over it. You can switch to your alter ego to reach unreachable areas or to get behind enemies and thus avoid them. Be careful though, you only have a certain amount of chances to switch to your alter ego on each level.

Pay attention to this and work out the best ways to get through each set of puzzles in the number of given switches. Also, be aware that some items can only be picked up by your alter ego. Position your alter ego over them by moving yourself at which point they will be collected, or switch to your alter ego and collect them yourself.

There are sometimes different ways to complete each puzzle, although some puzzles have one definite solution. It is up to you and your alter ego to find out how to get through each area. Good luck!

Versions

This tape contains both the original 48K version of Alter Ego and both the 48K and 128 versions of Dreamwalker: Alter Ego 2.

Alter Ego is on one side of the tape and the two versions of Dreamwalker: Alter Ego 2 can be found on the other with the 128K version being the first one on the tape.

Please select the correct version of load for your model of ZX Spectrum and make a note of the tape counter for future reference if you have a 48K computer so that you can easily access the correct program in future.
