An OK basketball sim in one player mode, it soon becomes a right yawn but the two player option makes it worth consideration. Read Review

All American Basketball features fast court action and outstanding playability in the ultimate Basketball simulation.
Extended gameplay options combined with superb graphics and accurate ball dynamics allows you to develop the skills used by some of the best known players in the USA.
One or two player games and Tournaments options make All American Basketball the definitively playable Basketball simulation.
Featuring: One or Two player options, smooth animated graphics with full screen manipulation, ball "dunking", multi-level artificially intelligent computer opponents, variable team play strategies, USA Basketball Rules, alterable game lengths, strip colour selections, Tournaments, Passing Shots, Penalties, and many other gameplay features!
All-American Basketball is played to full USA regulations governing the sport. It is an accurate simulation of the real game, covering all playing possibilities.
Play is controlled via joystick or keyboard.
1. Jump Off Move the Box over this option to begin play once all of the playing options have been selected.
2. Options Move the selection box and press FIRE to select exactly the set up of game you wish to play.
Team one is always controlled by Player One. If a two player game is required, move the box to the One/Two Players selection and click to select the opponent. If the match is against the computer, the level of artificial intelligence then has to be set between Amateur or Professional depending on your own Basketball skill level.
The team strips can be altered by moving the box to COLOURS and clicking. The screen display then alters until the desired playing colours are selected.
Clicking on TIME allows the playing periods to be altered between 2, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.
Main Menu returns the player to the Main Selection Screen.
Two players can participate in a International Tournament against a selection of International sides. Moving the box to Player One allows them to choose the team they wish to represent. This process is then repeated for Player Two. The teams are highlighted to indicate icon position, and pressing Fire selects the players side.
Moving the box to JUMP OFF begins the Tournament.
Clicking on EXIT returns the player to the Main Selection Screen.
The object of the game is to score as many baskets in the opponents net as possible during the match. Balls leaving the court area are moved into the possession of the opposing team. Field players are not allowed inside the opposing team's basket box area for more than three seconds, unless a penalty results in the opponent's box.
The player with the flashing team strip is currently under Joystick control. Pressing Fire when not in possession of the ball allows the player nearest to the ball to be selected.
When the player has control of the ball, pressing FIRE will throw the ball in the direction that the Joystick is pointing. The longer the Fire button is held down before release, the harder the shot will be. If shot power reaches full velocity, the ball is sent as a 'Passing Shot' in the direction of the Joystick.
